June 29- A big boy/girl tricycle
This is so sweet I just had to share. The ahjeemah who owns the fishing hole by our house is just the dearest, sweetest lady. We’ve gotten into the habit of taking walks down there to visit her on the weekends. She doesn’t speak a great deal of English, and I don’t speak a great deal of Hangul, but we always seem to have a good time with her. And most importantly, she just loves, loves, loves Ella and Sterling! Today we walked down to the pension (fishing hole) with Kevin, Sarah, and their little Eve. When we arrived she came rushing out of her restaurant to greet the kids as always, but today was extra exciting. She’s bought a tricycle for the kiddos to ride on while we’re down there. They’re still just a bit too young to maneuver a tricycle, but luckily this one comes with a bar for Mommy and Daddy to help steer and push. She was so excited to see the kids on the toy, isn’t that sweet?
After our walk we came back to our house so the kids could all play a while longer. Eve is really holding her own with Ella and Sterling, and really manages to keep up with the two of them. And Ella is finally warming up to her new playmate...as long as she gets to control the car!
Poor little Eve got a 2nd degree burn on her arm last week from some hot water, hence the large bandage. She’s doing just fine now, and doesn’t even seem to mind her bandage!
