December 22- Just in time for Christmas!

Look what we woke up to this morning! Now it’s really beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Maybe we’ll have a white Christmas after all?
Look who I found in Seoul! After a very exciting weekend away with the girls, I picked up my sister from ICN airport Sunday evening. She’s flown in to spend Christmas with us, then will continue on the Bangkok and Phuket to round our her trip (lucky girl!). Ella and Sterling were both very excited to wake up this morning and find not only had Mommy come back, but she’d brought (Aunt) Tia with her! Our first outing today was the 5-day market in downtown Wonju. I needed to pick up a few fruits and veggies, and I thought Jennifer would enjoy seeing the market place. It’s…an experience. Of course, I guess we should’ve left the babies at home. It was pretty cold, and all the little old ahjeemahs (ladies) in the market were fussing at us for having the kids out in the cold. One old lady even hit Jennifer and scolded her for having a baby out in the cold! Welcome to Korea, Jenn!
Ella sooooo wants to touch the pretty ornaments on the tree. I’ve been so impressed with both the kids this year. They’ve been very good about not touching any of the ornaments, and so far we haven’t had a single breakage. Of course, that doesn’t mean the tree is any less enticing. Instead, they both walk up to the tree, and point as closely as they can to each ornament saying “thiiiiis” or shaking their fingers saying “no, no, no”.
You never really know a man (or a Mommy) until you walk a mile in her shoes. Sterling gives Mommy’s shoes a whirl.
We had to take Jenn out for a traditional Korean meal. What trip would be complete without the beef on a leaf experience? We took her to one of our favorite kid friendly restaurants (think highchairs instead of sitting on the floor where they run wild). I think she enjoyed trying the different and often delicious foods like bulgogi, samgopsa, and deun jun jigae. Oh, and yes, the kids are stuffing their faces with seaweed in the above picture. Think of it as kind of an appetizer for them!
