October 11- Harvest festival

Today was the Harvest festival at Yongsan Army base in Seoul. After a long week of getting through some pretty rough jet lag, it sounded like something fun for the family to do. It was a beautiful fall day here, and we enjoyed strolling around the festival with the kids, but strolling is about all we did. There were plenty of fun activities for children, but they were geared more towards the 3 and up crowd. So, we got some balloons, a couple of suckers and called it a day. The kids didn’t mind, they were just excited to watch their balloons bobbing up and down on the stroller. A trip to the PX and commissary, and then it was on towards home. We had considered spending the night in Seoul, but then thought better of it after considering Sterling is still waking up jet lagged at exactly 3 in the morning and crying until shortly after 5am. Not exactly something you want to deal with in the confines of a hotel room.
God bless the mama who came up with this idea (it was probably a mother of twins)! Ella and Sterling didn't care how much time we spent shopping in the PX, they were too busy "driving" the little car attached to the front of the shopping cart. What fun they had!
