Today we accompanied Sarah and Eve as they went to the hangar to watch Kevin take off. Kevin flies an Apache Longbow UH 64Delta helicopter (try saying that 3 times fast!)…the same kind Sterling loves to watch take flight from the commissary. Today was this little boys dream some true! As soon as we walked into the hangar, Sterling went wild! He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, running from one helicopter to the next. At each one he’d stop and wave and say “hi!” It was too cute for words!
Sterling says, “Hi, helicopter”!
Yes, I had to keep a death grip on Sterling’s hand just to get him to stand still long enough to take a picture with his sister and me in front of one of the helicopters.
