September 22- The duck herders

Watch out duckies, here comes Sterling!
Today we took a trip to Spring Park to eat lunch at Claunch Cafe and then to see the ducks in the pond afterwards. Ella, Sterling and Maddox will all so excited to chase the ducks after a delicious lunch (that included a strawberry shortcake for dessert, yum!).
Ella loved the ducks, and was beyond consolation when it was time to leave. I think she was just dying to pet one. Too bad these ducks have too much sense to let a curious toddler that close.
Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.
~Vietnamese Proverb
Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.-- Albert Camus
After a long and exciting day of duck hunting, Ella relaxes in baby Lucy's swing. Once upon a time that very swing belonged to Ella and Sterling. It seems like it was just yesterday that my babies were the tiny babies being lulled to sleep in that swing. Seeing my giant toddler sitting in the swing makes me realize just how big my babies are getting.
Ella just loves to give kisses to baby Lulu.
Little mother hen may not have had much to eat for dinner tonight...because she was too busy feeding Sterling and Maddox! Tonight the babies ate their dinner picnic style on the family room floor. It wasn't long before Ella was spooning mac-n-cheese into the boys mouths. Don't worry, Ella has everything under control.
