December 6- Happy St. Nicholas Day!

St. Nicholas arrived last night to fill the children’s shoes with a few treats. This year he brought them each an ornament, a couple of sweet treats, and the classic, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.
Sterling was clearly excited to see what goodies awaited him in his shoes, as he was the first person up this morning.
“Maybe if I just dig a little deeper I’ll find that train table I’ve been hoping for….”
Ella carefully views her new Christmas ornament. Not a very fun gift when you’re not allowed to touch any of the ornaments on the tree anyway!
“Yes, this looks like it could be a very interesting film….”
Today Ella had a little impromptu tea party with her friends Evie and Emma. While the girls were over visiting, we decided to break out the tea set. Emma, being 3 years old, is clearly the expert on tea parties, so the younger girl made sure to pay very close attention to her instructions.
Eve and Ella enjoy sipping their tea together. Oh, by the way, I have no idea why my daughter is wearing that hat. No, it is not a fashion statement. It’s actually Emma’s hat, but Ella found it in the pile of coats and boots and I suppose she just decided she liked it. She continued to wear it until it was time for Emma to leave. Well, at least Em got to wear a warm hat, right?
