September 8- Stopping for just a second

Truly a second was all I could get these two to sit down for. This is my pitiful attempt at taking a nice picture of them. They're much too busy running to slow down for Mommy anymore!
There is only one way for a proper young lady to ride in a stroller...with pantaloons on! Aren't these pantaloons just about the cutest things you have ever seen in your entire life
?! (Thanks, Ashley!)
I don't think I really need to say what happened next...they found the water fountain...they splashed in the water fountain...they left two very wet and very happy babies.
After a very exciting first morning on vacation, and a delicious and very filling lunch, it didn't take long for these two to fall asleep for their morning nap. Notice who else came on vacation with us....Ella's new best friend, Mr. Teddy. She hasn't taken a nap without him since they met!
There truly is no sweeter a sight in the whole world, than that of a sleeping baby. This is clearly one very tired little boy from such an eventful morning!
Lunching at Turtle Point. Just a pretty little girl having lunch with her Mommy, Daddy, and brother.
Isn't it fun to watch little ones as they explore their world. They're so inquisitive! I think they were looking for stray golf balls at the Turtle Point golf club, but who really knows what their little minds were thinking?!
No fear in this little girl. As soon as we stepped off the boardwalk, she proceeded to march straight to the shoreline, and plop herself down in the water.
As soon as Ella plopped down in the water, wonder of all wonders, it went away. She seemed a little dismayed, untill the next wave rolled in. This was all great fun, and Mommy was snapping pictures like a paparazzi, until one slightly larger wave began to roll in unbeknownest to me (my back was towards the ocean). Let's just say this picture is the begining of that wave. Yes, I will be collecting my "Worst Mother of the Year" award. As I snapped pictures, my child was knocked over by a wave. Luckily, her head/mouth/nose never went under water, but it still gave us both a little scare. Not to worry. It didn't take Ella very long to forget the incident, and run right back into the water. Truly a water baby.
"I don't know Mommy. This doesn't look like any pool or bathtub I've ever seen. I think I'll just stay with you until I decide if this is a good thing or not."
If only life could always be so easy........

Sterling, Daddy, Uncle Billy, Ella and Mommy enjoy a late afternoon on the beach.
Sterling had such fun as the tide would come in and wash over him, then wash back out . It became a great game to anticipate the water coming in. The beach becomes so much more wonderful and exciting when you see it anew through a child's eyes. I don't think I've had so much fun at the beach in years! Needless to say, there will be no laying around and sun tanning during this trip for Mommy and Daddy.
While Sterling and Ella both really enjoyed playing in the waves, they enjoyed playing in the sand even more. They could spend hours and hours digging up sand, filling their buckets, then dumping the buckets and starting all over! Their little buckets would get so heavy with sand that they couldn't even pick them up to dump them (Mommy and Daddy had to help)! I think next summer we will deffinately be buying a sand box for our home in Korea.
"Can you believe Mommy is letting me play in this sand all I want? I'm making such a mess..nothing could be more exciting!"
