Today Michael may have found a house for us in Korea. He’s been working with a realtor looking at apartments since he’s been back there. He’s looked at lots of apartments, but today he believes he found “the one.” Isn’t it adorable? It’s a little log cabin on the outskirts of the city. It looks promising to me! It’s 3 bedrooms, & 2 baths. The landlord will also supply a washer and dryer (very necessary when you use cloth diapers!). It’s 2 stories with a porch that wraps around it. It only has one Whisen (indoor cooling fan), but I can run it all I want during the summer months. The floors are heated, which is the standard way of heating a house in Korea, but we still shipped over a couple of space heaters. That white stuff on the ground in the picture indicates to me that it’s going to be VERY cold there this winter.

One of my very favorite things at our house in Florence was the porch swing in the side yard. In fact, I believe I may have chosen to live in that house just for that porch swing. Look what this house has! I think I can see the kids enjoying this swing a whole lot this summer.

Can I see myself cooking Thanksgiving dinner here? Well, I don't really know yet- but maybe. The only thing that just kills me is the lack of a dishwasher. If there is one thing I HATE, no LOATHE, it's washing dishes. But, I know I can't hope for a dishwasher in Korea. Oh well, guess I'm just a spoiled American!
Edited: After looking at this picture, I realized I didn't see an oven anywhere. Hopefully on Monday Michael will be able to get an oven from Army housing. If so, I think this will be our new home. But the oven is definitely the deal breaker. If we don't have an oven, we simply can't live there.
