January 01, 2008- Happy New Year!
I hope everyone is enjoying their black eyed peas and greens today. I know I won’t be, as those are two foods that don’t cross these lips. Then again, I didn’t start 2007 with those foods, and it turned out to be one of the most wonderful years of my life with the addition of Sterling and Ella to our little family. So, how ever you start the new year, may you start it with the love of family and friends
She really must be her Daddy’s girl, because she devoured an entire mound of black eyed peas. She’s certainly no child of mine! Ella ate her New Year’s day supper in the walker at Grammy’s house (Sterling lucked out and got to sit in Maddox’s highchair)..
Enough said. I think Sterling’s facial expressions clearly state how he feels about this New Year’s tradition.
I have to post a picture every so often that gives you the reader who may not see the babies on a regular basis an idea of exactly how incredibly blue their eyes are. Michael snapped this picture of Sterling, and while it’s a little blurry, it does a good job of showing how blue his eyes are. As we inch closer and closer to the one year mark, I’m starting to feel it’s safe to say they’re going to be blue eyed (sorry Daddy, looks like blue trumps green).
Mommy snuggles with her little New Year’s fairy. Ella wore her party tutu to celebrate the holiday.
We hate to see the holiday season come to a close- especially since we have so many cute holiday duds that have never even made it on their backs! Sterling sends off the season in style with his cute little reindeer sweater vest.
This little girl is absolutely fearless. Ella chased Emma the dog, who is at least twice her size, as far as she could- to the glass storm door.
