Okay, well, this may not be their first "official" snow, since it did snow one of the last days we were in Florence, but this is their first substantial snow. I stuffed them like little Polish sausages into their snow suits and plopped them down in the snow today. I don't think they knew what to make of their big snow suits. Normally all they want to do is stand up and cruise, but once they got bundled up it was like they loss all use of their limbs. Oh well, at least I got some good smiles for their first snow pictures! And let me just mention, so I don't get any calls from the grandparents yelling at me to pull Sterling's hood up; in my defense, I DID have his hood up, but he refused to leave it up. And we were only outside long enough to snap a couple of pictures, so I don't think he was at risk for frost bite or pneumonia, or anything else you people worry about!

Snow bunny. Or maybe she's a snow bear? Notice the little ears on her hood.
Ella actually seemed to like the snow a little more than Sterling. She kept trying to pick it up, then she would whine when it made her fingers too cold. You can tell by the vegetation poking through that the snow is starting to melt. The good news is, I'm assured by the locals that there will be more snow at the end of March. What if we have a snowy Easter, wouldn't that be weird?
