The babies and I were offered a chance to spend a few days in Gatlinburg, TN at a beautiful chalet with our neighbors and good friends from Florence. We met Grammy, Mom Gibson, and Jane Broome in the Smokies on Wednesday and stayed through Friday. It was such a nice break and we all had a wonderful time. The kids had fun seeing all the autumn trees with their brilliant colors, and breathing the fresh mountain air. Mommy enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub on the deck over looking the mountains. We really hated to leave, but you know what they say. All good things must come to an end- even good vacations.




I took these picture on the drive there, which took us through the Smoky Mountain National Forest. It was incredible! The view from the top is made even cutter with the addition of Ella and Sterling!

Sterling was excited to see his Grammy under better circumstances than last week.

It felt like we were the only people in the whole world when you look out and don't see another house ANYWHERE.
