August 13- Sing-a-song day


Today was sing-a-song day at school. Two songs I taught all of my students were Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. One of the first songs I learned in Hangul was Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, and I think it’s a very important song to learn. It’s always helpful to know how to say all your body parts! For the second song, I thought it would be fun for the students to sing in rounds. After they all learned the words, I paired boys against girls, to see who could be loudest during their round. Needless to say, “Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily,” was heard ringing across Korea this afternoon! They loved it, and I had so much fun teaching them this American classic!
