March 07- Neglected
This is getting a little out of control here. I guess this is what happens when Mommy spends too much time updating her blog. The kids have managed to serve themselves breakfast! Today they found the Cheerios box on the coffee table and proceeded to DUMP it all over the floor. No need to worry about vacuuming up the o's...there were none left.
I was worried initially that we would be chilly this winter with no central heat and air. Our floors are heated, and let me tell you, they work really well. This house stays a toasty inferno. We actually only turn the floors on for about 3 hours every morning and then leave them off the rest of the day. The residual heat keeps us warm all day and well into the night. I only run the floors upstairs in the nursery for 2 hours during their first nap of the day, and their room is the hottest place in this house! I actually end up cracking a window mid afternoon to make the nursery bearable. So, here we sit with snow on the ground running fans to cool ourselves. Crazy, I know. At least we're not cold!

Our baby gates arrived in the mail this week. Now, every morning one of the very first things the kids do when they wake up is run (okay, not really run, but crawl/cruise) to the gate at the bottom of the stairs. I believe they're checking to see if it's still there! The stand there and shake the gate and holler up the stairwell for several minutes before moving on the the next thing they can destroy. Foiled again.

This tiny cowgirl goes for a ride on her Daddy's knee and finds a new sound to make. Too funny! Watch it:

He's soooo incredibly close, if only he'd get the confidence to let go of that last finger. Anyone want to place a bet on how much longer it will be 'till we have a walker? Watch how close he is to walking independently:
