And this made the whole ordeal of getting here all worth it. I can’t begin to tell you how happy we were to see Michael at the end of our long flight. After clearing immigration we made it to arrivals where Michael began jumping up and down as soon as he saw us. I know these past three weeks have felt like a long time to him while he has been anxiously awaiting our return to Korea.

Even after arriving at Incheon International Airport in Seoul our journey still wasn’t over. Michael is now stationed in Wonju, which is a 2.5 hour trip by bus. So, we purchased our tickets and dragged our entire luggage out to the bus stop to wait for the bus in the FREEZING cold. Luckily I had thought ahead and packed the babies’ very warm and cuddly snowsuits. I had actually contemplated just shipping them because they took up so much room in my suitcase. So glad I didn’t or we would’ve had two icicle babies. So, snug in their snowsuits, with an additional blanket on top of each baby, they looked like little Eskimos, but they didn’t seem to mind the frigid temperatures. Mommy, and Grammy were wishing they had snowsuits too! They sat very quietly in their stroller just looking around and examining all the new and different faces around them.

Sterling's snug as a bug in a rug.

Our bus trip from Seoul to Wonju proved to be yet another example of how incredibly kind Koreans are and how much they love eggies (babies)! The bus stopped at a rest stop somewhere along the way. We chose not to get off the bus; in fact, I think Linda and I were so tired we couldn’t have moved an inch even if we wanted to. We were to that point of exhaustion where things were starting to feel very surreal. We had been awake for over 24 hours at this point! When the bus driver got back on the bus he brought the babies a carton of cow’s milk and a bottle of banana milk. Of course, at this point the kids still haven’t had cow’s milk, so after thanking the driver for his kindness Michael quickly drank the milk himself. Michael did let Sterling try the banana milk (It’s somewhat like a drinkable yogurt). It was an instant hit with the boy! He absolutely LOVED it! As soon as he got a sip of the sweet stuff, he was after that bottle.

Being on the bus meant no car seats for the eggies (YIKES!). Ella stood in Grammy’s lap watching town after town pass by, looking for her new home. Poor little wonderer.
We finally arrived at our final destination around 10:30pm (Korean time), after traveling over 7,000 miles. I cannot tell you how excited I was to see our new home, or how much better it was than I could’ve ever anticipated. It’s wonderful! I was absolutely blown away as soon as we walked in. It’s much, much roomier than I thought it would be, and incredibly westernized. And best of all- it was warm and toasty, with a fully stocked refrigerator, and beds that looked like heaven! Michael has obviously been working very hard this past week getting this place ready for us. I can’t wait to post pictures of our wonderful new home for everyone to see. It’s truly incredible.
