This PMM is brought to you courtesy of Sterling.
Last night (the 20th) Sterling took his first tentative steps. I'm not sure if it was a fluke, or if it belongs in the baby book. We'll have to wait for a repeat performance to know for sure.
He was standing up, leaning with his back against Daddy's legs, then I held out my arms to him just out of reach. He stood up away from Michael and took a second to stop bouncing and gain his balance. Then he reached out his arms and took 3 steps. Of course, he was going down on the third step, so I caught him, but I'm so excited! I think he has the general idea. He knows that he has to move his legs if he wants to go, and not fall flat on his face. We'll keep watching and practicing to see if this really is the beginning of Sterling being a walker. I'm so proud of the boy! Won't it just be perfect if Sterling, who has hit every milestone second to Ella ends up being the first walker? THAT will get her in gear.
