June 27- How to grow rice
Ever wondered how rice grows? Well here's a picture of a rice field by our house. They constantly stay flooded with water during the growing season. I'm actually not positive where the rice will spring from...I'll let you know as soon as I see it! And no, Michael will not be growing rice next year.
We're so lucky. Every morning the kids and I get to take a walk through the most beautiful country side. It never fails to stop my breath short when I look around and realize I'm walking down a little winding road through rice fields in South Korea. How did that happen? This has been such a unique opportunity in our lives. I certainly never thought I wanted to live in southeast Asia, but I'm endlessly grateful for this experience! Just had to share a picture of the squash we're getting out of Michael's garden...nearly 9 inches long! It truly only takes about 2 of these jumbo squish to make a delicious casserole. We're also growing the world's largest zucchini. (As soon as I get a picture of the zucchini, I'll post it.)
