June 13- Meet Eve

We got new neighbors last week. Eve, along with her parents Sarah and Kevin moved in just a couple of houses down from us. Kevin is a pilot, and the new commander for the combat aviation brigade here. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have a new friend for Ella and Sterling…and a new friend for Mommy! I can see lots of fun times ahead for all the babies, and their parents! Isn’t she just absolutely adorable? Eve is 10 months old…she’ll be turning 1 on July 25th. She’s just as cute as she can be with those big brown eyes, and I’m shocked at how strong this little bit is! She certainly holds her own with Ella and Sterling! Sterling seems to like Eve and plays well with her. Ella on the other hand isn’t so sure about her. She doesn’t mind Eve at a distance, but she’s not willing to share her toys just yet, and really gets upset if Eve comes too close to me. I’m hoping this is just a stage and will pass quickly.
Today Ella and her new friend Eve had their first of what I’m sure will be many play dates. Eve’s mother Sarah and I took our girls to the indoor pool at Camp Eagle for a little bit of swim time. We’ve decided to make this a standing date every Friday, which will work out perfectly so I can rotate which baby gets to go swimming. Next week is Sterling’s turn! Watch Ella and Evie swimming at:

Ella and Eve had lots of fun swimming together, and then settled down poolside for a light afternoon snack together.
