January 16- Too cold to cry

Sterling tries out the doorway jumper. It's been a while since he's played in one of these, but clearly he hasn't outgrown it. He found it to be lots of fun!
Sterling has fallen in love with his Daddy. As soon as Michael walks into a room, Sterling's lifting up his arms wanting to be picked up. And when Michael leaves the room, Sterling will whimper and watch him go, and will continue watching long after Michael's gone. Sometimes nothing else will do but Daddy. It's been a nice break for Mommy to have an extra set of hands around 24 hours a day, and I'm going to miss Daddy just as much as Sterling when he heads back to Korea ahead of us. Luckily, we'll only be 3 weeks behind him. Then Sterling can be by Daddy's side till his little heart's content. Even though it was snowing outside, Sterling just HAD to go with Michael to check on the movers' progress. So, Daddy bundled up the boy in his scarf, and off they went.
We had snow here in Florence today. For several hours this afternoon we were in a real winter wonderland. Of course, not one flake stuck, but it was certainly beautiful while it lasted. We were in a real life snow globe! I of course had to bundle up the babies and take them out to see their first snow. They were very curious about this white stuff falling on them. I suppose we all better get used to seeing snow. As I understand it, we'll being seeing lots of white this winter in Korea. Burrr!
We're so sad to be leaving Florence, our home, and our dear neighbors on Crest Street. I truly believe that we'll be back here, but until then, it's a little bitter sweet to say goodbye. A great deal has happened in our lives since moving here, and we're sad to be leaving that history behind. Sometimes the world cries with you, sometimes it's just too cold to cry... and so it snows.
