With the combination of cold, dry air, Ella has become a little charged. This morning while playing peek-a-boo under a blanket, her hair was standing straight out like a mad scientist. Just had to share this crazy hair with you all!

It's snowing! There has been snow on the ground since we arrived, but it hasn't snowed yet. Until today. This afternoon it started coming down, and is supposed to continue for two days. It's so pretty seeing a fresh new blanket of white on the ground. I'm sure over the course of the next two years I will become less enchanted with the white stuff, but for now I think it's fun. Michael kept laughing and pointing out the "southerness" in me. As soon as it started snowing, I called him at work and told him to pick up a loaf of bread on his way home. I think they're a little more prepared for snow here, and a few flurries doesn't mean it's time to shut down the roads and raid the grocery stores. Oh well. I guess you can take the girl out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the girl!

Our little neighborhood is situated in the middle of farm land. Right next to our house is a cliff that drops down to a fruit orchard. It was so pretty covered in snow I just had to share. I'm not sure what type of a tree those are, but I'm looking forward to purchasing some of their harvest!

Ella and Sterling watch the snow falling from the warmth of the house. They were curious about the snow flakes, both standing at the door to look out for several minutes at a time. Next winter will be REALLY exciting for them.

Daddy refused to join in the fun and wear a hat with us. Oh well, I guess he'll just look cool with cold ears!
