April 28- Walking on grass

This may seem trivial to most, but Sterling walked on grass for the first time today. He's an excellent walker these days. He spends the better part of everyday just walking circles around the house. He also has a great time walking around on the deck outside, but I've never actually put him down in the grass. Grass is different. It's not smooth, it's not flat. It has clumps and tufts, and tiny bumps that makes maneuvering a little more tricky. When you're a new walker, it requires a little more concentration. So when I put Sterling down on the grass today, he stood exactly where he was for several minutes, very cautiously taking in his surroundings, and determining the change he felt under his feet (first picture). Soon enough he figured out how to walk on this new terrain, and boy was he delighted (second picture). He can really move quickly now, and he was quickly moving towards Daddy's newly planted garden!

Not a video of Sterling walking outside, but a cute one none the less. Watch our 2 little walkers in action together. Double trouble!

I can't get over how much the kids have changed from this time to when we last saw them! It is unbelieveable. I am so glad that you are getting these pics up on blogger--it's quite the trip down memory lane. :)
