May 27- Swimming!
It wouldn’t be Memorial Day weekend without a trip to the pool! Today we packed some soy nut butter and jelly sandwiches (no peanuts till they’re a little older), and headed to the indoor pool at Camp Eagle. There is an outdoor pool at Camp Long, but we were pretty sure it would still be too chilly for the babies to be comfortable. It was great. No one was there except for the lifeguards, and us, so we had the whole pool to ourselves. Watch the kids floating in their crazy crab floats at:

Ella really enjoyed the water. Sterling, who usually LOVES splashing around in the tub, was slightly overwhelmed by this large pool of water. He wasn’t exactly fearful, but he definitely wanted to keep his daddy in his sights at all times. Ella was a little mermaid, happy to “swim” with a little help from Mommy. Ella even made her first attempts at jumping off the side of the pool to Mommy. Watch her very cautious attempts at:

After having lots of fun at the pool, we came home to play with the water table. Watch the kids having fun with their new toy at:

Have you noticed these kids have plenty of swimsuits? Clearly their collective grandmothers feel the same way I do about teeny tiny swim suits…they’re just too darn cute!
Jeepers creepers, where'd you get those peepers?
I got a great video of Sterling in his squeaky shoes this evening. You can really hear the “squeak, squeak”…or as the Koreans say “peep, peep.”

After a long and exiting day swimming, it’s nice to relax on the porch swing with your best friend. Who knew that kids just get better and better? I love this age! Funny, I keep saying that, but it’s true. Every month it seems like the kids get even cuter, and even more fun to play with and watch. It’s like there’s always something fun and exciting to do. We’re exhausted at the end of the day, but it sure is fun!
