July 29- Down for the count

Ella has taken the hit from these shots the worst. She woke up this morning still running a 102.8* fever. I moved her to the couch where she remained for 2 hours before going down for her nap. She truly didn’t get up once. She just laid there with her blanket, lamby, and sippy cup. I brought her half a plain waffle in the hopes she’d eat something. She barely even picked at it. I had to pull the high chair into the family room so Sterling could eat breakfast while I kept an eye on her. Sterling had a slow start also, but did eventually get up to walk around and tinker with a toy or two. He very much so liked eating his breakfast in the family room watching Thomas the Train. After their morning nap (4.5 hours long!!!) they both hung out on the couch together for about an hour before I had to separate them. Sterling was trying to push Ella off the couch! By 4:oo I put them down for their afternoon nap…and by 5 o’clock I had to get them both out of the crib. They were NOT going to sleep. Instead they were both zinging around their cribs and laughing like hyenas at each other. Needless to say…they felt all better!
