December 16- Cake Monster

Okay, another important “first,” and one that should have had me thrown in bad Mommy jail. Tonight Grand-Mere gave Ella a tiny crumb of a piece of homemade chocolate cake. This isn’t just any old boxed chocolate cake. Oh no. This is from my Grandma’s chocolate cake recipe- think sifting the flower 3 times. A staple at any of her grandchildren’s birthdays, as well as at holidays such as Christmas and Easter. Needless to say, Ella LOVED it, and stalked anyone who had a plate of cake. Please do not try this at home- chocolate cake isn’t exactly something babies should have before a year.

Meet Pepper

We wanted to introduce our little elf friend Pepper who is visiting us for the holidays. He’s come from the North Pole to watch Ella and Sterling, and to listen to their holiday wishes. Every night he flies back to the North Pole to report back to the big guy whether the twins have been naughty or nice. On Christmas Eve he’ll return to the North Pole with Santa, but no reason to be sad, he’ll be back again next year! Thank you Aunt Jenn for directing him towards our home!

If anyone else thinks they may be in need of a Christmas elf, visit: http://www.elfontheshelf.com/
