We’ve been dying to hang up the Johnny Jump Up for the children to play with. Our old apartment didn’t have door frames that would hold the support system for it, but this new place does. So, last night we excitedly got it out and hung it up, giggling the whole time about how much they would enjoy it. Victim number one was Ella. We put her in the seat excited to see her delight at this new found freedom, only to have her disappear into the seat! No kidding, she’s so little that her chin just barely makes it to the top of the seat. She was just flopping around in there, and began screaming. We swear we could hear her say “HELLLLLP!”

Victim number two was Sterling. I don’t know why we decided we had to try him in it too- I guess just to make sure the torcher was evenly distributed. So we put the little monkey down in the seat, which again swallowed him up too, but he actually seemed interested in it. He didn’t really grasp the concept of jumping up and down, but he really enjoyed just “hanging out” and looking around 360 degrees. He looked just like a little chimpanzee!

We’re not sure why this toy is marketed for 4 months to walking age, or which giant the kid on the box belongs to. The happy little boy on the box appears to fit very nicely in the seat. Bet his parents weren’t afraid he might fall through a leg hole!
