Ella eats with a spoon

We have just introduced baby rice cereal to the kids. Technically, Sterling has been getting rice cereal in one bottle a day to help with his horrible acid reflux for about 6 weeks now, but they're both new to spoon feeding. At our 4 month check up, the pediatrician gave us the green light to start spoon feeding, but we waited until just last weekend to try it. Sterling isn't a bit interested, which surprised me. I figured he'd be more used to the rice cereal since he's been getting it for a while now. But Ella REALLY enjoyed the spoon feeding. It took a few spoonfuls for her to realize what was going on. And the first few bites elicit some pretty sour faces, but then she gets really excited about it. She keeps trying to force the spoon into her mouth, so today I let her "feed herself" (kind of). Just had to share this picture of her efforts, I thought it was a riot. Pretty good for a first timer, huh?
