Well, even in Korea, you can celebrate the 4th! Of course, we really wish we were back home in Florence on our boat today, but regardless, we still had a good Independence Day.
We went over to Camp Walker to have a bar-b-que with some of Michael's co-workers, and watch fireworks. I had to wonder what the Koreans living in Daegu thought of all the fireworks going off above the Army base. But the very best part of our day had to be that we stayed in the hotel on base, so we wouldn't have to drive back with sleepy babies. The hotel has A/C! Hip hip hooray! I got in there and cranked that air down to 50 degrees! Loved it! I had to actually turn it off before we went to bed, or we were all going to have icicles on the ends of our noses when we woke up.
I have to mention how cute the babies looked in their little 4th of July outfits. Sterling wore a pair of little short-alls with American flags smocked on the front that his Grandmother bought him, and Ella wore a beautiful res dress with white stars embroidered on it. Everyone kept commenting on how cute the babies looked. They kept saying, "oh, you can tell you just got here from the states, they're dressed so cute."
God bless America and A/C!
