April 25- Happy Birthday to baby Colin!!!!

At 7:46 this morning the newest member of the “S” family made his debut. Sarah, Kevin and big sister Eve are all thrilled to welcome little Colin Robert, who weighed 7lbs. 13oz. and was 21 in. long at birth. Mom and baby are both doing great and both were happily resting at home 24 hours later (well, okay, maybe only little Colin was resting). Congratulations to our dear friends and happy birthday baby Colin! We’re over the moon thrilled for ya’ll.
Today the kids went on a training exercise with Michael. I had to drive our neighbors Carvelli and Cavonte along with their mother to the airport in Seoul, as they’ll be moving back to the states. Korea’s a tough assignment. It can really make or break a family. Being so far separated from all your family, loved ones and support system is not easy, and it’s not for everyone. We’ll miss our neighbors and we’re sorry their time in Korea was so brief, but we wish them the best of luck on their future endeavors. So, as I was saying, I had to drive this little family to the airport bright and early this morning. Well bright and early may be an incorrect statement. It was more like dark and early…4:30am! At the same time Michael was scheduled to lead a training exercise that started at 8am. Between the 2 hours each way to the airport, plus time spent checking this family in for their flight, and a shortage of childcare...as in we have none, we had a small scheduling dilemma on our hands! The only option was for Ella and Sterling to join Daddy at work. I’m told they were a hit and immensely enjoyed their day. And I must confess that I’m really proud of Michael. He got both babies up, dressed, fed a breakfast of eggs and bacon before and took a taxi with both babies to the base all before 8am! Go Daddy!
